In 2019, Whitney Opalek purchased the bakery from its founder, Ivey Childers, with a commitment to honoring the traditions that have made Ivey Cake so special.

Whitney’s love for cake decorating began at 17, when a brief decorating class sparked a lifelong passion. Since then, she has worked alongside talented cake artists, refined her craft, and fulfilled her dream of owning a bakery.

Today, Ivey Cake continues to make the same beloved staple recipes our customers know and love while offering an expanding variety of beautifully crafted designer sweets. Along with her husband and two children, Whitney considers it an honor and a privilege to be a small part of your family’s most treasured celebrations.
